BRANCH CURCH ST. NICHOLAS, DVORJE
Today’s church St. Nicholas in Dvorje was formed in 1755, although it was already first mentioned around 1485. The main altar was made in the past century, from the old one remained a painting of St. Nicholas among the 14 assistants made by baroque painter Anton Cebej. The church also boasts with images of painter Metziger. The side altars, the so called golden altars, are from 1656 and are the oldest in the municipality. They were brought here from the old Velesov’s church, which was it was pulled down in 1765.
