CHURCH OF ST. AMBROŽ
It’s the highest branch church of the archdiocese of Ljubljana. In possession of the land register for the country principality in Kranjska region the village is first mentioned in 1496 as S. Ambrosen perg. Therefore, it can be assumed that the church was already standing. Simply designed architecture with a rectangular nave and a presbytery helds in its interior two altars dedicated to St. Amrosius. The wooden ceiling is designed by architect Tone Bitenc. Of the inventory only a large bell is preserved, which was in 1758 made by Janez Samassa from Ljubljana, but originally the bell was not designed as an equipment of this church. Josip Murn dedicated to patron Saint Ambrož also a song. The church was renovated in the years from 1881 to 1894.
